The paintings in this section come under three themes:
"Ghosts of Wittenoom"
Wittenoom is surrounded by some of the most magnificent country you are ever likely to see. The few signs and buildings that are left provide the only clues to what was once a thriving township - half a dozen houses, a street sign reading 5th Avenue, cracked roadways amongst the mulla-mulla.
"Wilderness Paintings".
In these paintings I tell you about my experiences in the place where I now live and work. They are stories about the comedy of errors as well as the beauty in the stillness of a night or a sun-filled day.
"Working on a Dream"
is inspired by the time I spent in the little village of Sassofortino in Tuscany and is a homage to this enchanting place and to its people, and to my friends, who made my stay possible. |
